So, I've been trying to finish this game, and it reminds me of why I hate this stuff.
I hate RPG's cause the final boss fights are insane.
Said boss fight has 3 stages.
Stage one, Boss has rotating weakness and strength, regenerates, and goes into unattackable mode. Geee, talk about advantage.
Stage two, boss has infinite regeneration
Stage three is similar to 1, except the boss now has a couple of instant kill attacks.
I guess ppl like the game due to its difficulty, dang the level grinding get's tedious.
The game and story is fun, but trying to kill the last boss is annoying. I think I spent 2-3 hours on the last attempt and failed!!!!! Dang, hours of my life I have lost forever*sobs*
Time to put the game away till X-mas, get on with some real work.

Rarely does getting infected by a computer virus signal good news, but Linux can now get window's viruses and that signals a big leap in technology.
Yes, in this case being infectable means your compatible enough to a flaky operating system that you suffer its flaws.

http://www.theglobeandmail.com/news/national/follow-europes-lead-on-climate-change-conference-host-tells-canada/article1320439/
So, There's a rather big international climate change conference going on at the moment, and the key question is whether or not Canada(north America really) will force it's own business to produce less C02, or at least store it or use it in some manner. I'm a big fan of using this C02 to grow crops. The problem is that we have a pro-business government with a structural deficit caused by their pro-business stance. Climate change, will incur additional cost or so the logic goes. Anyhow, I hope Canada caves, adopt GHC reduction, pump money into creative research, becomes world leaders in it and move on.
Now I think this is rather silly, one country saying another country isn't willing to commit so they won't. The solution is simple. An import levy. I doubt all the countries will agree all at once, but say if the U.S. committed, and was given the power to impose levies on non-compliant countries by the WTO, it will be powerful incentive for everyone to come on board eventually. The only problem with this, is it hinders free trade which big multinationals won't like. But I think Obama will have an easy time selling the idea, cause it will give the US and opportunity to rebuild its manufacturing base, while having and legitimate excuse to block China and India imports.
In B.C. 80% of out energy is from dams, which is good in terms of C02 emissions. According to wiki, the only reason why we don't have more dams, is due to environmental concerns. Dams, tends to destroy rivers and natural habitat while they're filling up with water. Things tend to reach a equilibrium once these dams start to operate. B.C. is also looking at wind power. Ironically, B.C. has almost no wind generation at the moment. Though, there haven't been alot of large B.C. Hydro capital projects.
Anyhow enough of a rant. Been watching too many environmental documentaries, saying the world is doomed. I think this is the wrong way to convince ppl to change of course.
Anyhow, I hope that we're not counting on the environment to be self regulating so get out of this situation. You know, more C02 in the air, plant grow faster to suck it up. But such seems to be such a unreliable solution.

Game music hits Vancouver. Apparently, this stuff has been happening in the US and Japan for a long time.
Well, the concept isn't new. Have a professional Orchestra perform popular music live. Every era, orchestras struggles to stay alive so they tap into pop to try and draw new audiences into concerts. The end result is an enjoyable concert. Art groups are perhaps the most aristocratic of beggars.
The crowd it drew had so many familiar faces. Which isn't surprising. Though, I think it's more that the main stream audience wasn't interested rather than the Otaku crowd embracing concerts. It's not surprising an one night performance targeted at a specific audience sold out. And the fact that ppl enjoy orchestral music isn't a surprise.
Onto the concert: The concert was greatly enjoyable. They ended with One-Wing angel, which was expected. It is perhaps the most epic of all FF character themes. The visuals were camp, looking back at what was consider awe inspiring graphics was awesome, and brought the audience to chuckle at the nostalgia more than once. I particularly liked the 'Swing Chocobo arrangement' All ways been a sucker for Classic Jazz.

So, I was going to do Turkey from Hetalia.
But even, unemployed life, catches up with you.. It's amazing how much you have to do, when you have nothing to do.
So, I doubt I will finish this costume for Tommorow. So sad.

Quote "Many of us will be holding our breath for the next few months. After we see some collisions we can experience that joy, and then start down the long path towards answering some of the fundamental questions we have about the universe."
I'm thinking it gotta suck to he a graduate student waiting for results. It's a life in limbo as to when they can get the data. I'm sure some of them, can pull something off by present theoretical research. But for the experimentalist, this is definitely a major setback. Some may even quit.
I just sympathize for the Ph.D's who may have invested 2 years into the project already, and told that they have to wait for an indefinite period of time. It's a life in Limbo really.
Anyhow, back to the job search.

Dang, my neice is bratty lately.
She's acting really spoiled, cause we wants to go to 7-11 and buy a toy. Though the way she approaching it, seems like something out of TV or a bad commercial.
Let me list the techniques: Constant Nagging Saying she hates you saying you're mean Kicking
These seems like things that happen on TV, I think she's been copying off that. All the more reason not to give in. Teaches her that those techniques don't work. Heaven help the world when she starts adopting other behaviors.

So, I've been wanting to be able use my iPod in my car, and charge it at the same time. I wasn't able to charge the iPod and use the FM transmitter at the same time, because each would have required on of those cigarette lighter dongles.
So, rather than spend $10 on a FM transmitter/MP3 player, I modded my dongle. I took the two I had, and stuck them into 1 dongle. Fortunately, there was no electronics in the FM transmitter power dongle. Yup, that was alot of effort for what could have been done with $10. But since I'm unemployed I might as well use what I have.
Anyhow, I can now charge my iPod and have it transmit at the same time, And i feel oddly proud of that hack....
Pictures later.

So, Microsoft has a new search engine.
Which is a good alternative to Google at the moment. My recent results have either had wiki, or paid commercial sites as the top results from Google. The ad-word results have modified that results almost to the point of returning non-relevant results, or just wiki results. If I wanted wiki results, I would have went to wiki.
Microsoft's newest search offering, Bing, is still returning unmolested results, so for now I think it's a good alternative to Google.
